Full Time/Part Time Guest Service Agent - IL - Burr Ridge/SW Chicago

Chesapeake Hospitality / Crowne Plaza Chicago SW  is pleased to share this exceptional opportunity with passionate and outgoing Guest Service Agents for all shifts. This beautiful hotel is conveniently located in Burr Ridge a suburb of Chicago and has 123 rooms, approximately 8,000 sq. feet of flexible meeting space, a restaurant/lounge, pool, spa bathrooms, a business and fitness center. With the renovation and rebranding, this hotel might as well be brand new!

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for creating 100% guest satisfaction by providing efficient and effective front desk service.

In this role, you will be expected to do the following:

Accurately balances all hotel income and expenses for 24 hour operating period.

Balance and audit for accurate room revenue, food and beverage revenue and telephone revenue. Also assist in the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues.

Balance and audit for accurate room and tax charges, cashier's reports and guest and house accounts.

Completes and transmits daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents; prepares customer tracking report, market segmentation report, food and beverage revenue report necessary to ensure the accurate accounting of hotel revenues and expenses.

Communicate with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and to request or provide information.

Performs all Guest Service Agent functions as required, may assist in booking room reservations, may assist in answering hotel phone calls and notifying guests of messages and will facilitate proper security of department keys.

Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.

The vast majority of time is spent compiling, analyzing or reviewing daily management and accounting reports or using a key board to input data, typically while sitting down. A small portion of time is spent moving around the hotel in order to collect data or speak with staff or guests.

Lifting, pulling or carrying items weighing approximately 15 pounds can occur a portion of the time if handling or filing the day end reports.

The person in this position spends some time utilizing problem solving and reasoning abilities.

Mathematical skills, including basic math, basic accounting, percentages and variances are used a large portion of the time.

Must have prior hotel experience.
